Pixels and Polaroids Puts Pixelated Characters Into Vintage Photographs
If you took two components from our collective past, one digital the other analogue and both glowing with nostalgia, then combined them together to form a mega-nostalgic retro fusion you might come up with something like Pixels and Polaroids.
The project is the work of Jherin Miller and uses “pseudo-Polaroid photography and retro 80s era video game graphics” to create images that merge the physical and virtual in an ode to the past, with pixelated kids hanging out and skating.
