Old visions of a high-tech future maybe about to come true.

Pink Tentacle have just posted some interesting  Japanese illustrations from 1969 imagining life in a utopian computerised future.

“The Rise of the Computerized School,” illustrated by Shigeru Komatsuzaki, depicts a classroom of the future. The teacher is merely a projection which the students interact with by writing on their touch screen computers.

My personal favourite illustration is one showing a student being hit on the head by a discipline enforcing robot!

Now have a look at this and ask yourself how far we are away from this future...
