Honda Jazz: Interactive TV Ad / iPhone App
Honda have launched an interactive campaign that uses its recently launched TV campaign to interact with its iPhone app. As the ad plays on TV, you literally grab content from the ad as it plays.
The campaign uses whats called “screen hopping” that works by having sound from the TV ad recgonised by the iPhone App, so when pre-defined sound waves are read, the app knows to display the same character that was on screen at that moment, essentially giving you the ability to interact with the TV ad in real time.
Not content with that, Honda have taken it a step further by allowing you to interact with the characters once you caught them, by doing things such singing into the iPhone to make the characters dance.
