 Internet in Shock...

...after Microsoft produce a product that actually works.

Now, I'm as cynical about Microsoft software as the next developer, and if I had a pound for every time I wished IE would just go away (in much stronger terms) I'd be a very rich man... However, I couldn't help but be impressed with one of the latest products to be released.

It's called Seadragon (or Deep Zoom, one of the two) and it's a cross-browser compatible way to zoom into and pan around any image on the web, no matter how big.

Have a look at it yourself on seadragon.com

It truly is impressive and can lead to some pretty cool things, like the new Bing Maps, which you can see here: http://www.ted.com/talks/blaise_aguera.html.
