I'm loving these large sand sculptures by Jim Denevan. They emerge to reveal a serenity to the landscape and become interactive public spaces once complete.
Surfers walk over and through the elegant patterns he leaves behind, delighted beachgoers follow the curling spiral work like it's a labyrinth, pacing inwards and then retracing their steps. The incoming tide participates too, and always has the final word by erasing the temporary artworks with the sweep of each passing wave.
