Check out IDEO’s vision for the future of the book. An interesting video that helps to spark a social debate on their Facebook page around what the future really holds for books, pixel based reading and live connections.

While the video provides some nice eye candy, it is of course, only eye candy. It does however, make you start to think about the opportunity for advertisers, retailers, publishers, authors and of course - readers.

When tablet technology engulfs the world in a few years time, what exactly will we be doing with them? And how much will they actually be like these “future of” videos? If the flying car is anything to go by, I can imagine the intricacies in attempting to connect the worlds content with tablet styled interfaces fraught with technical issues!
