Upload Cinema is a film club that takes the best web films to the big screen. Every month a fresh program of Internet shorts is screened at cinema De Uitkijk in Amsterdam based on a monthly theme.

I love the idea of bringing back the real encounter community which current online social networks lack. This particular community is highly exclusive (entry is restricted to invited members or successful contributors), but never-the-less I hope the idea inspires other communities to retreat from the anonymous shroud of the web.
