Brief

They.Create was commissioned to design and develop the new logotype and mark for prestigious online jewellery retailer - Expressions Des Bijoux.

Outcome

For the logotype, we chose to create a classic style typeface with the addition of slab serifs and petit capitals to accentuate the phonetic flow of each word. The sweeping descenders and raised title cases act as an introduction to the next word to improve the eyes flow when reading.

Using some of the one-off pieces of jewellery as inspiration, we developed a mark incorporating the anagram EDB. The symmetrical circles and spacers nod to Expressions Des Bijoux's jewellery ranges whilst the anagram brings balance and grounds the mark.

The logotype and mark can be used independently or together.
